Indications &Dose:
- Anaphylaxis:
- CRI: 0.05 mcg/kg/min; titrate
- 0.01 – 0.025 mg/kg IM/IV; can repeat as needed
- CRI more effective than IV in dog anaphylaxis model (ref)
- CPR:
- Start with “low dose” 0.01 mg/kg IV/IO q4min
- TIP: 0.1 mL per 10 kg
- After ~10 min, consider “high dose” 0.1 mg/kg IV/IO q4min
- TIP: 1.0 mL per 10 kg
- Intratracheal: increase dose 2-10X, add to 5-10 mL saline to increase volume
- Give with a red rubber, flush with saline, give 2 breaths to spread in lungs
- Start with “low dose” 0.01 mg/kg IV/IO q4min
